Integrative coaching is the focal point of our practice, the heart of every coaching engagement. It’s a unique form of evidence-based coaching that hinges on helping people grow and change—but from the inside out.
Many coaching models and theories focus primarily on the outside—on the “what” and “how” of change. Such brands of coaching typically involve setting goals and then adopting strategies and tactics to meet them. According to research, this method only works for about 15–20% of people.
Integrative coaching, on the other hand, puts the focus on the “who,” the core being of the person seeking growth and change, and the “why” that inspires them. The focus is on helping you flourish, because when who do so, you naturally become more effective and purposeful in whatever you do. I use this approach because evidence shows that success in life and work has a lot more to do with where you’re coming from and how you’re showing up than with obsessing on where you’re trying to go.
